Trading and Energy Procurement

The Trading and Procurement Module helps end customers manage their energy purchase requirements for gas and power more effectively through flexible or progressive purchasing.

The system manages the portfolio risk position by basket or aggregated, provides stress testing through “what if analysis” should wholesale forward curves rise or fall. It also allows the purchaser to meet their financial risk obligation through the application of risk limits, enter transactions or trades and produce risk reports. The system handles both simple exclusive energy supply agreements or more complex multiple supplier arrangement with multiple baskets and purchasing strategies on behalf of end customers.

Furthermore, the module easily integrates with Utilidex’s billing and bill validation modules allowing suppliers and customers to apply weighted average cost of energy for budgeting and forecasting purposes and manages flexible demand profiles more effectively through the introduction of on the day/ balancing products. We also accurately confirm and settle transactions through “cash out” prices or “residual trades.
