CEO & Co-founder
As CEO of Utilidex, Richard has the pleasure of leading an incredibly talented team of product designers, engineers, and energy professionals, with one goal in mind: to revolutionise the energy market.
Richard is passionate about innovation and takes a very active role in product design and technology, as well working on the development of commercial & strategic partnerships for the business.
With over 15 years experience of working in the energy and technology sectors, Richard has previously held a number of senior roles – most recently he was CEO of Energy One, an Australian Stock Exchange listed company. He holds an MBA from AGSM (Australia), is a member of Microsoft’s UK Partner Advisory Council and mentors early stage technology companies at Level39, Europe’s largest Fintech Accelerator.
Director & Co-founder
Mike has spent over 20 years in Energy, across a number of business domains from wholesale trading, electricity generation, distribution and supply.
Mike’s expertise across these varied disciplines has seen Mike lead a number of innovations and developments, which were forefront of the industry.
Prior to co-founding Utilidex Mike was responsible for Siemens IT business in energy for the UK / Ireland. Mike is passionate about customer focus and innovation, believing that the energy sector has enormous potential for additional value with the right use of innovative technologies.
Director of Corporate Business
Richard is the Director of corporate business with responsibility for new business development in the UK. Richard also manages our client relationships, bringing together a background in energy with a strong commitment to providing the very highest standards of customer service.
With a passion for technology and the latest innovations in computing, he is also actively involved in product development at Utilidex. Richard has spent the past 8 years working in energy and sustainability, mainly within the generation and renewables sector. Before joining Utilidex, he was co-founder and Director of a commercial renewable energy company. Prior to this Richard was a technical sales specialist with experience in the medical research and IT industry.
With a passion for technology and the latest innovations in computing, he is also actively involved in product development at Utilidex.

Director, Corporate Partnerships
Karyn has spent the past 5 years working in energy and sustainability. She has worked with blue-chip firms to build some of the leading energy and sustainability teams globally.
Immediately prior to joining Utilidex, Karyn worked as a sustainability consultant, advising companies on issues ranging from transparency and governance to energy efficiency to new business models.
Originally from Toronto, Karyn completed her MSc in Sustainability at the University of London. She helped establish the Energy Managers Association, has been named an EU-InnovatE ‘Future Shaper’, and is dedicated to challenging inefficient systems to drive sustainability.
Steve has worked in the energy sector since 2002, initially as a consultant to BG Group, then at Centrica where he worked in the UK and North American Businesses in a variety of roles including implementation of the Smart Metering Program.
Leaving Centrica in 2010 Steve joined BSR, which became the largest integrated developer of PV in the UK, delivering over £600m of high value PV projects, including the largest in the UK to date (as snapped by Tim Peake from space).
Prior to 2002 Steve worked at Management Consultancy BAH (now part of PWC), Sony Europe and GKN’s automotive components business.
